America’s First Automotive Show

"It wasn't the first automobile show held in the United States. It wasn't even the first held at Madison Square Garden. But it is considered the first modern automotive show."

122 years ago today, on November 3rd of 1900, the automotive world was once-again revolutionized as 66 exhibitors got together for a weeklong event to show off 31 new automobiles and dozens of ways to modify them to each driver's preferences and specifications. Visitors willing to fork over 50 cents for admission were treated to the most marvelous innovations in modern automobile technology, including watching several vehicles prove their uphill driving capabilities on a special ramp built just for the event.
